Cabinet Designer Job Description For Elite Cabinetry NH And Family Of Brands

FLSA: Hourly/Non-Exempt
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Flexibility is highly desired)
Salary/Hourly Rate: $18-$30/Hour (Depending on experience and skills)
We are currently seeking an experienced Millwork Draftsperson / Cabinet Designer to join our team. The cornerstone of our business is the quality of the product we deliver and we look for that same mindset from our team members. We specialize in kitchens and bathrooms; as well as other types of custom cabinetry so we desire an experienced, finely skilled designer that has working knowledge of Cabinet Vision, to help bring our customer’s vision come to life on paper. JOB SUMMARY:
The Cabinet Designer (Millwork Draftsperson) designs unique, custom cabinetry by reading the detailed specifications of a blueprint. Must have a firm knowledge of cabinetry and wood joinery. Must be a reliable, self-starter and able to problem solve independently. The qualified candidate will have impeccable customer service skills, and be detail orientated. Also, can stay on task, be honest and make deadlines without comprising quality. Also may be responsible for designing new cabinetry lines and models for yearly catalogs or to showcasing them to potential customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
•You will be creating machining programs for the CNC.
•Analyze and interpret construction blueprints and specifications.
•Develop plans and models for production while ensuring optimal use of materials, construction methodology,
manufacturing, and installation.
•Develop work orders for engineered cabinet and millwork components.
•Create detailed shop drawings, diagrams, and instructions to complete the work order.
•Examine job site documentation and make necessary adjustments to fit job requirements.
•Create job-specific production machinery computer code files that operators can use for each work order.
•Communicate with all relevant departments to make sure all materials ordered relate to the project.
•Partner with the production department to determine best practices for project completion.
•Ensure quality and timely completion of project assignments while meeting cost targets.
•Provide production support and troubleshoot any issues on the production floor.
•Analyze, develop, and improve engineering processes through waste reduction, error-proofing design, standardization, etc.
•Manage projects with ambiguous customer data.
•Provide exceptional service to all customers and vendors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Must have a working knowledge of Cabinet Vision or AutoCAD
•Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
•High level of commercial construction blueprint reading skills preferred.
•Advanced computer and application knowledge.
•Proficient product design skills.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills working in a team environment.
•Excellent technical analytical and reasoning skills.
•Knowledge and understanding of AWI standards.
